Overview

Jira Release Helper is a browser extension that improves Jira release pages by adding release-focused columns:

• Issues in Release on Versions pages
• Resolved Links (done/total) on Release Report pages

The extension works only on Jira pages where it is active and uses Jira APIs on your own Jira domain.

Data collection

This extension does not collect, sell, or share personal data for advertising.

This extension does not send your Jira data to third-party servers controlled by the developer.

Data access and processing

The extension may access data visible on Jira release pages, including:

• Versions pages (/projects/*)
• Release report pages (/projects/*/versions/*, /browse/*/fixforversion/*)
• issue metadata required to calculate displayed release columns

Purpose of access:

• read release/issue data from Jira
• calculate issue counts and resolved link ratios
• render additional columns in Jira tables

Network requests

Requests are made only to the currently opened Jira instance (same Jira origin), including Jira REST API endpoints used to read release and issue data.

No external runtime code is downloaded or executed.

Storage

The extension stores only technical settings required for operation (for example filter settings and last detected Jira origin) in browser extension storage.

No external databases are used.

Security

• Uses existing Jira browser session (credentials: include)
• Operates within browser extension security model
• Does not execute remote code at runtime

User control

You can stop all processing at any time by:

• disabling or removing the extension
• closing Jira pages where the extension runs
